This last Wednesday was opening day for the Farmers Market in Lake Placid. As a chef this is like going to a candy story as a kid. I want to touch and smell everything that grew in the ground.
The farmers that are bringing their product don’t realize how amazing their stuff truly is. The lettuce is so fresh you can hear the crunch. The strawberries smell like I am walking into a perfume store. The cheese makers product is so rich and earthy that I can taste the clover they were grazing on. We are truly blessed to live in an area where mother nature explodes when spring hits.
